What are the Norris-Doxey woodland-management projects?

They are the projects set up, under Federal law, to give on-the-ground woodland-management advice and assistance to farmers and other owners of small woodlands. In 1948, farm foresters worked with small-woodland owners in 650 counties. The farm forests are employed by the individual States with the Federal Government sharing in the cost and administration of the various projects.
